About Miss Anne

Photo: Nathalie Bélanger

"With her unique style, Miss Anne performs a witty blend of original music and (slightly risqué) vintage songs in English and German, accompanying herself on guitar. "

"Miss Anne hearkens back to a time when dirty could still be charming. ..and you weren't fully dressed without a hat!"

"Miss Anne May look very pure and innocent but she is very naughty! That surprise is delightful. Musical & lyrical styles ranging from whimsical to punk, to tongue in cheek, to campy and much more!"

"Miss Anne has a delightful quirkyness, a clear voice and a naughty sparkle in the eye that charms the audience instantly"

Miss Anne comes to life

After the fantastic host Miss Heidi at South Park Abbey, San Diego,
called me Miss Anne I decided to perform under this pseudonym.
My program displays a variety of hand-picked songs of the 40ies-70ies
of the last century, mixed with originals.
Some of the hilarious songs gained fame by Ruth Wallis, Gilda Radner
and Madeline Kahn.

Here, Miss Anne at the Tin Roof:

Fashion collaborations with Dörte Lange

Together with Dörte Lange I organized photoshoots for different magazines:
Missy Magazine, Mitteschön, Groove magazine...
I did hair, make-up and I build props and the accessories in most of these productions.

HALLO! ´s first Album

HALLO! finished its album! I uploaded some of the songs here:
 HALLO! s first album

Nicolas Pannetier (France) and Anne Grabow (Germany) met in 2012, when they were coming of age and started to write sincere songs about love, food and death. With two voices and two guitars Hallo! oscillate between irony and sobriety. Paraphrasing 60 years of rock history they recite king-sized pop-songs which follow german cabaret songs of the 20ies. Dressed as futuristic harlequins the two talk about libertarian metropolitans and their fears of commitment, disastrous passions, unfulfillable desires and fidelity. Singing angelic melodies with filthy lyrics and awkward costumes Hallo! love the grotesque.

The Berlin senate pleased us with a 10-days-of-studio-grant! So we toured France to prepare us for our studio recordings.
Tuesday, december 17/2013 we were guests at the radiostation Szenesound / Radio Alex.
